浙江快乐12官网:Weather Warnings - Inland Flood Warning

Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, South Australia

Flood Warning for the Inland Rivers SA

Issued at 11:30 am CST on Monday 29 April 2019
Flood Warning Number: 31

Flood waters are currently entering South Australia along the Diamantina River
but flooding has eased along the Warburton River.

Significant falls were recorded in the NT and QLD in late March and this has
caused renewed flow along the Diamantina River and Eyre Creek. Flood waters are
moving into South Australia along the Diamantina River and the water level at
Birdsville (DEW) is about 7.70 metres and peaking.

Although the amount of water is less than the previous event, it may still
cause inundation of flood plains, cutting of some roads and impacts to
graziers.

Flood waters along Eyre Creek are also likely to move into South Australia
during the next week or two.

Flow into Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre has currently eased. Satellite images
indicate the lake surface is more than half covered with water. By late May and
into June further inflows to the lake may occur.

Water is also expected to flow into SA from Cooper Creek in the next week or
two. Although this flow will make it to the Coongie Lakes, it is not expected
to provide inflow to Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre.

Warburton:
The water level at Poothapoota Waterhole, just downstream of the Goyder Lagoon,
is about 2.6 metres and falling.

Flood Safety Advice:
People are advised to keep away from flowing water.

For flood emergency assistance contact the State Emergency Service on 132 500.

For life threatening emergencies call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Next issue:
The next warning will be issued by 02:00 pm CST on Friday 03 May 2019.

Latest River Heights:
Diamantina River at Birdsville (DEW), 7.70, Steady, 11:30 AM MON 29/04/19
